Uniform

Our sixth form uniform brings a sense of purpose, professionalism and community to our students. We expect sixth form students to dress smartly at all times and be role models to the rest of the school.

Most items of uniform can be purchased from high street stores, however items in bold can only be purchased from our uniform suppliers:

 

Female

Navy school blazer with St. Mary’s badge.

White shirt

Sixth Form tie

Navy jumper (optional)

Navy pleated school skirt (elasticated waist allowed in Sixth Form) OR navy trousers supplied by Parade school wear

Black socks with trousers

Smart black shoes

White ankle socks can be worn until Monday 25th September 2023

 

Outdoor coats

Students can wear a black outdoor coat, which must be no shorter than the school blazer. Logos must be minimal.

 

Bags

Students must not have any bright coloured bags or over patterned bags.

PE kit

Those students who do PE in Sixth Form can come to school in their PE kit, on PE days. Students must wear the correct PE kit. A list of the items needed for the PE kit is listed below.

A Level PE

From our school uniform suppliers: Polo shirt, Navy blue shorts, navy blue leggings (optional and worn at teacher’s discretion as an undergarment in winter months), navy blue outdoor games jersey. Navy blue football socks for hockey / football etc. White ankle socks for netball athletics etc. Suitable outdoor trainers for the courts and all weather pitch (not moulded). Clean, non-marking trainers for the sports hall.

 

Core PE

Plain navy joggers (no logos), plain white T shirt, plain navy blue sweatshirt (no logos), navy blue or white socks appropriate to the activity. Trainers as above, appropriate for activity. Sixth form students can choose to buy the PE kit from our school suppliers, as outlined above. Any other kit appropriate or necessary to the activity (shin pads, gum shield etc.).

Piercings

Please note that our uniform policy clearly states  that no facial piercings are allowed. Pupils in Sixth Form can wear clear spacers for any facial piercings or additional ear piercings.

Hair

Students may not have extreme hair colouring or hair styles. Religious headwear may be worn (plain, navy blue in keeping with school uniform). Any student with hair types 3a-4c may wear their hair in an appropriate protective hairstyle.
