Key Stage 5 Curriculum

At Key Stage 5, pupils follow a programme of traditional A level subjects or BTEC Level 3 qualifications. Pupils with a mixture of 9-4 grades at GCSE choose 3 full A level/BTEC Level 3 subjects in addition to the Inauro curriculum that consists of Core Religious Studies, PSHE, Careers, Citizenship along with relevant work experience and other ‘co-curricular’ opportunities. Pupils who have not gained a grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics at GCSE are also required to re-sit these subjects.

The Sixth Form section of the website outlines the A levels/BTEC Level 3 qualifications that are available along with information on awarding bodies and time allocations:

Homework is a vital and compulsory activity for all pupils. Homework is set for each subject in accordance with the school’s Homework Policy. Teachers set and record homework through the online learning platform Satchel One. In Years 12 and 13, pupils are expected to spend approximately 3 hours on homework each evening and at weekends.
