Uniform

Our Sixth Form students are expected to dress smartly, professionally and in a formal style ready for study.  The dress code is set out below. Students are expected to adhere to it and maintain the high standards of dress established within the Sixth Form.

GIRLS

Navy blue blazer with school badge
Navy blue box-pleated knee length skirt (purchased from school only)
Navy blue V-necked pullover (optional)
White blouse
Sixth Form tie
Flesh coloured tights or navy blue opaque tights *
Smart black shoes (flat or with a small heel);suede shoes are unacceptable **
Navy blue or black coat – must be no shorter than the blazer
School scarf (optional but no others may be worn)

BOYS

Navy blue blazer with school badge
Grey or black smart school trousers (no tight legged fashion trousers)
Grey, navy or black socks
Black shoes (flat); suede, canvass or cotton shoes are unacceptable
White shirt
Navy blue V-necked pullover (optional)
Sixth Form tie
School scarf (optional but no others may be worn)
Navy blue or black coat – must be no shorter than the blazer
School scarf (optional but no others may be worn)
Uniform may

* In warmer months, girls may choose not to wear tights and can wear white ankle socks instead)
** Open toed footwear is not allowed. Shoes should be formal and smart, made of leather or look-alike leather.

PE KIT – St Mary’s royal blue polo t-shirt and black shorts, school sweatshirt and any other kit appropriate to the activity.

General – The wearing of jewellery is not, in general, encouraged. Girls may wear one pair of sleepers or studs and rings provided that they are discrete, worn only in the ear lobes and in keeping with the school uniform.

Hair must be tidy. No extremes of hair style or change of hair colour would be acceptable.
