Sixth form

Mr C Bradley Head of Key Stage 5 responsible for Sixth Form

Sixth Form application for 2017 admission closed on 25 November 2016

I am very proud of the Sixth Form at St Mary’s. I believe it is an exceptional place to study. Our A level teachers are hard working and enthusiastic, all academic specialists in their subject areas.

The culture at St Mary’s is one of teachers working really closely with their sixth form students, being very generous with their time to support and develop our students. Sixth Form lessons are calm and purposeful; students can enjoy being enthusiastic and eager to contribute – because that is the norm here.

The atmosphere in St Mary’s Sixth Form is very friendly and supportive. We have very high expectations of conduct and behaviour; students treat each other with kindness and respect. One of the first things you will notice is how polite and courteous we are with each other.

Sixth Form tutors and senior Pastoral staff in St Mary’s Sixth Form offer a great deal of support and advice. I am particularly proud of how we prepare students for their applications to university and work. Finally our facilities are superb. We have excellent individual study areas for quiet work as well as group study rooms and a wonderful all-day cafeteria exclusively for Sixth Form.

As I say, an exceptional place to study A levels.
