GCSE results 2017
Pupils at St Mary’s Catholic High School have achieved outstanding results in this year’s GCSE and Vocational examinations. The new Attainment 8 score is 54.5. 80% of pupils achieved English and Maths at the new grade 4 and above.
We are also thrilled that 4% pupils achieved the new grade 9 scores in Maths and English, placing them with the highest achieving pupils in the country. Alongside 18% of pupils who achieved Distinction* levels in BTEC qualifications.
The results are a testament to the incredible hard work of our pupils, the support of parents and the dedication of the school’s exceptional staff. Our aim is that every pupil fulfils his or her potential and has the qualifications to move on to the next stage of their education or career. We are extremely proud of all of our young people.
A level Results 2017
St Mary’s Catholic High School is extremely proud of this year’s A level students and their results. They have achieved highly across all ability ranges. Our A level average point score per entry is 37.15
The percentage of A and B grades together accounted for 55%, a marvellous achievement. Many individuals gained outstanding sets of A level results. In fact, 8.2% of our students gained 4 or more A grades as well as 16% of our students gaining 3 or more A grades. These A level results have helped students gain their university, training and employment places very successfully
