Cleaner – Permanent Position

Term time plus 2 weeks during holidays
10 hours per week (3.45 pm – 5.45 pm Mon – Fri)

Pro Rata Actual Salary £4,376 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a Cleaner to work as part of a team undertaking a variety of cleaning duties. Previous experience would be advantageous, however, training will be provided.

SENIOR RECEPTIONIST

37 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm and Friday 8.00 am to 3.30 pm
(includes 30-minute unpaid break)
42 weeks per year (including 3 weeks in the summer holidays)
Annual Salary Grade 6 SCP 6-8 (£20,043 – £20,852 F.T.E) (£18,235 – £18,971 actual salary)

Due to the retirement of our current postholder, St Mary’s Catholic High School are looking for a highly motivated, competent, and enthusiastic Senior Receptionist to join our Administration Team. You will be the first point of contact to our school, promoting a welcoming environment and supporting effective communication within the school and with parents.

Applicants must have excellent organisational skills, a good level of numeracy and literacy skills, 5 GCSEs Grade 4 or above including English and Maths and experience in using IT software including Microsoft packages. You will be a team player, confident with effective communication, and have a flexible approach and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines. Previous experience of working in a busy reception environment is essential.

MEDICAL WELFARE ASSISTANT

Required from September 2022

32.5 hours per week (term time only including Inset Days)
Monday & Tuesday, 8.15 am – 3.30 pm, Wednesday & Thursday 8.30 am – 3.30 pm (including 30-minute break) and Friday 8.30 am to 2.30 pm
Annual Salary Grade 6, Point 6-8, F.T.E £20,043 – £20,852
(Actual Salary based on 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year £14,873 – £15,474)

St Mary’s Catholic High School are looking to appoint a highly organised and competent Medical Welfare Assistant to work in partnership with the Pastoral and Wellbeing Team at St Mary’s Catholic High School to provide support for the wellbeing of students and staff.

The post holder will be required to manage and run the school’s medical room; provide effective medical care and treatment, and administer medication and provide a first aid service for the school community.

The successful candidate will be:

• Experienced in working with children and young people including those with SEND.
• Able to undertake the duties of a First Aider and respond to CPR/medical emergencies of both pupils and staff.
• Able to remain calm when under pressure and employ tact and diplomacy in difficult/sensitive situations.
• Confident with excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy and have an understanding of confidentiality issues.
• Able to maintain accurate and relevant medical records in a secure way; ensuring that the Data Protection Act/GDPR is followed.

St Mary’s Catholic High School are looking for a highly motivated, competent, and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Support Department from September 2022.

This is an exciting opportunity for the new postholder to develop and lead the English intervention curriculum alongside the Head of English, to meet the needs of our SEND pupils. You will develop and lead specialist curriculum provision as well as preparing and leading group and individual interventions.

Applicants will have:
• HLTA status or QTS
• GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English to Grade C or 5 and above
• Previous experience of working with SEN students in an educational setting and of teaching individuals, small groups and classes
• Knowledge of special needs in a secondary phase setting
• Excellent organisational skills including prioritisation
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral as well as listening skills.
• A friendly and approachable personality and be able to establish good working relationships with staff and pupils.
