Science

The Science Department is a very friendly, energetic and successful part of the School. It is housed in nine laboratories together with prep rooms and work areas.
The Department is staffed by the equivalent of nine full time specialist teachers. They comprise a well established committed team with a progressive but balanced and thorough approach.

Biology has three laboratories and adjacent prep rooms. There is a greenhouse and sixth form experiment area.

The results at both GCSE and A Level over the past few years have been outstanding.

Science

In the first two years science is taught as a combined subject. In year nine all children study Physics, Chemistry and Biology as separate subjects. All pupils follow a Science GCSE in year 10 and do additional Science in year 11.

The delivery is by specialist teaching the separate Biology, Chemistry and Physics components. All pupils do the GCSE exams.

Science

We have very healthy numbers choosing to study each of the sciences at A level, and frequently sufficient for two groups.
