General maintenance, administrative and catering jobs are also available at astronomical establishments. The main locations in the UK are Cambridge, Edinburgh, Leicester, Jodrell Bank (Cheshire) and the Research Councils’ Headquarters at Swindon.

 

Jobs where you will need a degree and usually postgraduate qualifications.

You will almost always need to go to university. Good ICT skills and knowledge of European Languages can be an advantage.
