Mrs Patricia Armstrong-Read
I have been a Parent Governor at St. Mary’s since March 2012 and, for six years before that, was a Parent Governor at my children’s primary school.
Before my two children were born, I was a primary school teacher for 15 years, mainly at an English school in Germany. This means that I have a strong background in education and can appreciate the roles, responsibilities and views of teachers, parents and governors.
I enjoy representing parents in a team which makes a real difference to the lives of children, parents and teachers, thus promoting learning and improving standards in an already outstanding school.
In whatever spare time I can find, in between looking after my children and their ever increasing taxi needs, I enjoy being fully involved in the life of my church & Sunday school, walking, meeting up with friends, playing musical instruments, reading & photography.
