Uniform Information – Sixth Form
As winter continues we are very likely to experience periods of extremely bad weather. It is therefore important that your son/daughter returns to school in January properly equipped for bad weather.
Students may have; a navy blue or black coat, which should not be shorter than the school blazer, blue or black gloves and a school scarf. Coats, scarves and gloves in other colours are not permitted. Hoodies worn either underneath or over blazers are also not permitted, nor are body warmers/gilets. Hats must be plain, without logos, and navy blue or black.
Students may wear wellingtons or walking-style boots when given permission to do so. However, students must not come to school in UGG-style boots; they are not appropriate for severe weather and do not provide adequate grip underfoot when walking around school.
If your son/daughter does not have an appropriate coat or footwear, then please address this issue for the start of the term in January. Suede boots, fabric fashion boots and non-school scarves are not part of the St Mary’s uniform even in very bad weather and must not be worn after Christmas.
Thank you for your continued support of St Mary’s and our insistence on the highest standards of uniform and appearance.
