We would like to inform you of an exciting online event your teachers, parents and students may be interested in joining on Sat 22 May, 11am-12.30pm on Educating for Zero Carbon.

This event has an inspiring line up of speakers who will talk about how to embed carbon literacy at all stages of education and what we can do collectively and individually to educate for zero carbon, followed by Q&A. This includes a primary head, two St Mary’s High School students, a university head of department and a council trainer in carbon literacy. More details on the speakers below.

This is the fourth in a series of Zoom events designed to celebrate and prepare for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow. These events will cover different climate themes, bringing together experts and examples of best practice to identify the actions needed to achieve a zero carbon society. This event is organised by Transition Chesterfield, Chesterfield Climate Alliance, Derby Climate Coalition and Derbyshire Climate Coalition.
