Leading Parent Partnership Award

During this academic year our school is working towards achieving the LPPA (Leading Parent Partnership Award). We know we enjoy excellent relationships with our parents but this process is enabling us to identify areas for development.

The LPPA focuses on the following:

 ·         Ensures provision of high quality information about the life of the school and your children’s learning and progress

·         Leads to improved communication with school staff

·         Encourages more effective participation in your children’s learning at home and at school

·         Builds confidence in encouraging participation in lifelong learning opportunities

·         Encourages ongoing partnership and support between school and parents.

We currently have a Working Party driving our efforts to enhance and develop these areas and look forward to advising you about our progress towards the Award in the summer term 2010.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at school if you have any comments/contributions you would like to make.

Interim Assessment . . .

On Tuesday 11 May we had our Interim Assessment for the Leading Parent Partnership Award. An adviser came into school and spent the day looking at the progress we have made so far this year towards the Award. She was hugely impressed by what we have done towards enhancing our relationship with parents. We still have some work to do and hope to be awarded the full award early in the Autumn Term. If there are any parents/guardians who would like to join our Working Party and/or contribute to future endeavours, please contact me on:

Many thanks for your continuing support.
